No audio

Question

Any one have any ideas. I just purchased a TIVO series 2 DVR and Toast 8. Set up went smooth except for the TIVO site giving a different key than what the set top box did. That was resolved and after recording programs, the recordings transfer fine to our Mac but there is no audio. Any suggestions? Roxio says it's a TIVO problem. TIVO says it's a Roxio problem. :angry2:

Same here, I just purchased Toast 8. Were you able to solve this issue and if so what did you do to fix it?

Thanks,

After more searching (shame on me for not looking harder before I posted) I found this solutiona and it worked for me.

"the problem is with the audio set up of your JVC DVD player. In the player's basic setup menu you'll find an option to output MPEG audio as PCM audio. Different brands of players call this different things. This option isn't automatically turned on. Check your player' audio setup. I'm not referring to the audio options that are accessed by pressing the audio button on the remote. This is part of the player's initial set-up menu series."
