cinthia
The new HD DirecTv receivers have an ethernet port and a "Networking" Setup Menu. I connected it to an Apple Airport Express and successfully configured the settings. The receiver's message says something like "successfully connected to the network, although this does not mean you will receive new features via internet". I guess that's the standard disclaimer. My question is, since I know the ip address and using IPScanner software, can see it on my network - isn't there SOME way to get it to communicate with other networked devices? or ANY networked device - other Tivos or computers, if not TivoToGo? Isn't the hardest part - getting it to show up on the network? There must be a solution (she said determindly)...so close but yet so far!! AHHHHH!! Any creative solutions would be appreciated (and tried!)
