Does anyone know how to make it so EMC 9's processes don't run at start up? I only want its processes running when I actually use the application. I know how to edit the startup file in Windows but I'm looking for a way to do this in the application.

Do it via msconfig. Better yet, uninstall it. Using it is like playing Russian Roulette, if you value the data you are backing up.
