Capture Setings?

Sodapop

Question

Hello. I am using the Dazzle DVC90 and trying to import 2 1/h hours of video onto my hard drive. There is ample space on the drive but the caprure stops automatically after approximately 1 hour 2 minutes. Is there a setting that I am unaware of to prevent the capture from stoping automatically?

Thanks, Paul.

That sounds as if you are using a standard DVD sizing (one hour approx is the capacity of a single layer DVD at best quality)

. If you have the option, see if you can set it for dual layer (or try capturing direct to the hard drive)

Thanks for the tip. I was capturing directly to my hard drive though.

Thanks again, I have leardned so much from all the helpful participants in this forum.

Have a great day, Paul.

Or it could be hitting a file size limit (4gb) if your hard drive is formatted as FAT32. If it is, and you're using XP, convert the hard drive to the NTFS file system.

Thanks, I will investigate it tomorrow. I had to use the old Roxio MyDVD that came installed on my dell to finish this project. Will try your suggestions in the morning.

Thanks, Paul.
