Runtime Error R6025

Ri_olson

Question

If I use VideoWave9 and try to access photos I get the - Runtime Error R6025 Pure Virtual Functional Call. I have done a clean install, updated drivers, updated software, done everything that Roxio shows in KB, but I still have the problem. I even bought Registry software that said would fix R6025 problems, but it didn't fix it either. I have:

HP computer

AMD 4200

2G of memory

ATI video

250 gig hard drive

XP Media

Have you uninstalled IE7?

Check this post

Although this refers to EMC7, IE7 has been known to cause problems

I have been running EMC7.5 with IE7 with no problems. It is only when I went to EMC9 that I had a problem. It seems that Roxio should make EMC9 work with the latest MS software.

I think I'm having the same problem. When I open Videowave and try to add a video to the program, a window pops up that says:

"MICROSOFT VISUAL C++ RUNTIME LIBRARY

PROGRAM C:\PROGRAM FILES\ROXIO\VIDEOUI9\VIDEOWAVE9.EXE

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

Please contact the application's support team for more information."

I then click "ok" and another window pops up:

"MICROSOFT VISUAL C++ RUNTIME LIBRARY

PROGRAM C:\PROGRAM FILES\ROXIO\VIDEOUI9\VIDEOWAVE9.EXE

R6025 - pure virtual function call"

I click "ok" again, and the program shuts down. This is only the second time I've used this program. The first time I used it (about a month ago), it worked fine.

I have XP Pro with IE7. Little help? :blink: I'm stumped. Thanks

I am getting the same Runtime Error R6025 -pure vitual funtion call, when I try to import a video file using VideoWave 9. I've also run Registry software (RegCure) before I opened VideoWave. No help.

I'm running a:

Dell XPS

2G memory

XP Media center

Internet Exp. 6.0.2

Is there a patch from Roxio available to correct this problem? any other suggestions which may correct the problem?

Thanks.

You could try uninstalling IE 7 to see if that helps, it does cause problems with many programs on XP.

Also take a look at this Knowledgebase articlefor that error:

You must not do any video work, then. Try bringing a .dmsm file into DVD Builder and see what happens. ;)

Yep I have the same problem but a laptop. IE shouldn't have anything to do with it because OS from recovery discs, I use Firefox 2... I stay as far away as possible from the hotfixes as possible, unless really needed. I did notice, however, the problem occured AFTER I disabled Roxio's DMXLauncher & RoxWatchTray9. So I'm gonna try and reboot now and see if it works after re-enabling them.

Yes I am not very experienced with video. What I was trying to do was use Slide show. There is no way to add files from "My Pictures" in the My Documents folder. They only seem to allow with an add to have Camera Memory, Camera download or Scanner. If I try to add in "Slide Show" it bounces me right back to the main menu. So one suggestion was to try Video Wave to add the pictures, that's when I have the problem with the Runtime Error R6025. So I am not able to add a video or photo, because when I select add it goes int the Runtime Error. Thanks for the suggestion.

You didn't really want a solution to your problem. It is really tough to tell, from your response, whether or not you are addressing my post, or just babbling again, about your problem.

You have been given a probable solution to your problem, and you won't do it. I don't believe you, when you say that you have no problems with EMC 7.5, with IE7 installed. I know better. :blink::blink::blink::blink:
