I have Creator Classic 7, Win XP, HP 640c Lightscribe DVD writer.
When I insert a DVD, it takes forever (probably 5 minutes) for the program to read the disk and then just as long to import the data from the DVD. It does wirte the DVD ok, but I don't rermember it taking this long in the past. This happens on 2 brands (DVD-R and DVD+R).
IDE channels show that DMA is enabled. I do see that the CPU resources seem to drop down to a very low level, but don't know why since I've disabled antivirus, spyware, and as many obvious processes that I can with no apprarent change.
When I read the disk (in Explorer), it comes up quickly with no delay.
