CD FOR MY VEHICLE

dvpearson

Question

:) About 6 months ago I was able to create cd's for my cd player in my truck. I have not been able to do that now. I can't remember how I did it. I recorded from my satellite connection in my house through my computer's sound card. I used the WAV selection in Easy Audio Capture. My player in my truck says it is a "data disk".

What step(s) am I missing?

I am trying to record directly from the thru the sound card from my home satellite connection. Audio for Car or Home wants me to add files from my computer.

That's right,if you capture as wav files and then just put them on a cd a CD player will see it as a data disc. The wav files need to be turned into an Audio Disc.If you then look at the disc all you'll see is cda files. This is what the CD player looks for to know it's an Audio cd.

Just do what Bruce says and turn those wav files into an Audio cd using Music Disc Creator. When it tells you to add files just add your wav files.

You need to click on 'Audio Disc' and not 'Data Disc'. I'm not sure what program you're using but if you're using the Home screen, select the Audio for Car or Home. If using Music Disc Creator, select, Audio Disc.

That's all there is too it.

Record to your hard drive, then. Once you burn the wav files, using Music Disc Creator (Audio Disk), you can dump the files, if you so desire.
