Need Help With Creating And Loading Disc Images

vdaigle2

Question

Never mind. I don't think the software can do what I want (i.e. make disk images of games so that I don't have to put the physical disks in the physical drive), but that's fine. I did at least find out that there is a patch available for one game that I wanted to make a disk image of, a patch that makes it possible to run the software without the disk in the drive.

I hope this function is available, its one of the reasons I bought it, exactly for this.

As you say I want to make a virtual drive so I dont have to use the disk all the time.

Can you let me know (PM if you want) how you sorted it?

cheers

If the disc is not protected, and doesn't use any emulation detectors, then you should be able to read the image from the disc to a .ISO file, then, using Disc Image Loader, load the image and play from that. If there is any sort of copy protection, then EMC won't circumvent it.

The problem being that most games use copy protection which we do not and can not bypass.

You can do a google search to find more info on some of them, with one of the more popular methods being Safedisc (Macrovision).
