Track # Ssill shows up

Question

I have read and re-read the posts regarding renaming files. I have renamed the files with the Renaming audio files utility. Using Windows Explorer the file names are changed. However, when they are played on Windows Media Player or played after being copied to an MP3 player, they are still shown as Track 01, etc.. Is this something that can't be changed? Several songs came installed with the MP3 player and the names are displayed. What am I missing or doing wrong or just plain don't understand? Thank you in advance.

Did you rename the files or edit the audio tags?An mp3's info is read from the tags.Try using the other app to "Edit Song Information" instead of "Rename Audio files".

#$^@,I type too slow...lol

I'm sorry to sound like a pest but where do I find the Edit Song Information?

Go to the Home App and then Audio.Look toward the bottom of the list and you will see it.It is Tag editor in the left pane and Edit Song Information in the middle pane.
