mailmail07
My situation is that my computer crashed and after i reloaded the operating system i cannot burn any cd's on my windows media player. I get the following error message: The Easy CD Creator burning engine was not found on your system. Would you like to download and install it? If i put yes i sends me to website telling me i have to pay 79 dollars to install the roxio website telling me to purchase the software to reload roxio. I cant believe that i should have to pay again when i had the software on my computer before, has anyone experienced this problem before? tks Mailman07
gi7omy
You don't say what version you are using, but if you go here and follow through the links, you should be able to get the updated engine. Make sure you have pop-up blockers turned off (the page does use pop-ups). Just Ignore the offer to upgrade and you should get to the update section where you can download the patches

mailmail07
i tried to reload the roxio operating disk and got .dll fiel roxcommontools.dl was not found. Also i tried to download a patch but was told my windows 98se is too old to use. Also when i go to start and then to find and then type in roxio i find a file that has a roxio wmburn.exe file but when i click on it says the playlist is empty, please add contents to playlist before burning. I have a playlist on my windows media player ready to burn but it is still giving me the add contents to playlist before burning. Any suggestions? cdanteek
Do you own a recovery Roxio disc? You would reinstall from that disc. Post your operating OS and what you did on the reload after the crash! Like reformat and clean install. cd
