JRD1
I have made many DVDs from my DV Camcorder using various versions of MyDVD, and was comfortable with it until last year I was convinced by Roxio Sales person that I should upgrade to The EMC Suite 8 which includes an updated version of MyDVD. I did, and did not have a need to use it until a month ago when I found out that EmC now has Suite 9. Anyway, I have been trying to edit video with EMC 8 and instead of getting the familiar MYDVD, I get Videowave with which I am not familiar at all. I was able to split my hour long captured video in various smaller clips with MYDVD in the storyline, but don't know how to do it in Videowave. I am not too excited to upgrade again to EMC 9 if it is going to give me the same Videowave instead of MYDVD as a video editor. Any suggestions? Larry
The editing in EMC 9 is the same as in EMC 8. You won't likely be seeing the same editing you did in the old Sonic mydvd in future products either. You can use the tutorials or helps files to get familiar with the editing in v8. You can also visit the Tips & Tricks board in the EMC 9 area and look at some of the user tips (some are videos) that should also help you. The editing between 8 & 9 is almost identical.
