I purchased a Dell desktop PC approximately one year ago. This system has a DVD RW with DigitalMedia v7 Plus & MyDVD v6 Plus installed for the DVD burner. The problem is that whenever I attempt to do anything via the software such as watch a DVD or create a backup of a DVD, my browser opens to display the website for the vendor of this software prompting me to upgrade it.
Surely I hope that I haven't received this system w/ a DVD RW that can only be used if I purchase an upgrade to the software that DELL provided me for my DVD player. That would basically make my DVD worthless which is how I feel about it right now. In addition, it would also require that I pay once more to use a feature of the system, being the DVD RW, that I already paid for initally when I purchased my desktop system. \

Can anyone help me with this?
