EMC9 stops burning DVD+R DL halfway thru copying movie

rockym

Question

Recently installed EMC9 suite on my Vista laptop. When using the "copy DVD movie" function (burning video files from my hard drive), the burning stops at about 51% thru and a box pops up saying "unspecified error 04". Never had this issue in Win XP. Any ideas?

Check for updated drivers for your graphics card - they may have been up to date in XP, but Vista requires new drivers

Thanks GI, but isn't burning cpu dependant, not GPU? It's an HP dv2000t laptop with NVidia GeForce Go 7200. Anyone else have issues using Vista and "copy movies"?

Nah, the lappy shipped with Vista Home Premium. Just looking for some good suggestions . Unfortunately, HP's graphics drivers are pretty behind for Vista. Any known bugs using Vista? Appreciate the feedback.

You mean apart from Vista itself?

You really do need the updated graphics drivers for any video work - there's no way round that at all. What you could try is to check on the nVidia website for Vista drivers rather than the HP one
