Encoding Freezes

New Craig

Question

I can create the movie and all is well. When I start the burn the movie will not Encode. The bars never move off 0% and the preview never shows. The computer is no power house but it falls well above the minimum requirements. I installed EMC9 on another computer and it works fine. Any ideas as to what would cause the encoding not to work?

Your graphics sub-system is a bit on the low side for rendering. Try software rendering and see if that improves it any but you may have to consider getting a dedicated video card instead of using the onboard shared memory

Please post the specs of the computer that is giving you the trouble. Make sure you have updated all your drivers and that you have defragged your hard drive. Shut down all unneeded programs while you are trying to encode.

See updated post for computer specs. I updated anything that needed updating and shut down every unneed programs. In fact I set the computer back a week and reinstalled the program and tried again with the same result.
