Will CD Spin Doctor boost sound from Turntable or do I need a phono preamp?

Hello.

Will CD Spin Doctor compensate for the low output signal of a turntable or do I need a phono preamp?

The iMic USB sound card comes with propietary Final Vinyl software that's supposed to boost the signal and I was wondering if CD Spin Doctor did anything like that.

Spin Doctor does not have the phono equalization. You either need to use a pre-amp or you could record using Final Vinyl and then use that resulting AIFF file in Spin Doctor.
