DVDit! Pro HD freezes up

I just recently installed Avid Xpress Pro 5.6 and I also installed DVDit! Pro HD, but DVDit! freezes up when I bring in files from Sorenson Squeeze. When I move the imported media to the project title which should load it in the timeline the hourglass appears and never leaves indicating the program has frozen. Can anyone help with this problem?

I also have heard whisperings about issues with Squeeze 4.5, which is a shame, but 4.3 has been working well for me with the CBR option. VideoFlyer, it is worth trying various settings within Sorenson to see if you can find something that works. Are you using elementary or program streams?

 

I have used both QT Ref and QT Movies into Sorenson, these from DNxHD sequences at 16:9, encoding them as CBR elementary streams. They come into DVDit as compliant files and author, burn, and look great in SD projects.

 

I have not as yet tried Blu-Ray - drives are still too expensive for my blood.

What version of Sorenson are you using. have heard there might be some issues with 4.5

Curreently I'm using 4.3, but I have 4.5 upgrade on the way.

don't know. not aware of a conflict with Sorenson files, could be conflict between our encoders/decoders and be as simple as the order in which your programs are installed...

Thanks Scott, I had installed Avid 1st, should I uninstall both and re-install DVDit! 1st..?

I truly don't know. more likely that it is a Sorenson conflict. I was reading today on another forum that 3.5 files worked fine with DVDit Pro and 4.5 did not...I am not sure what they changed in the interim.
