I'd like the Toast team to consider adding some kind of automation feature to the encoding and DVD burning process. Because of the time it takes to encode my .Tivo files for use with my iPod or to burn them to a DVD I tend to let this process run at night or when away from my computer. If I run the process at night it requires me to leave my Mac on all night long. It would be nice if there was some kind of feature that would allow Toast 8 to either shut down, sleep, or log out of the computer after it has finished the process it was working on.
I have tried using the scheduling feature in the Energy Saver System Preferences to schedule a time for the computer to shut down when I guess the process will be finished. However, this is problematic for two reasons. First, I have to guess the amount of time the encoding process will take, and second, the shutdown is canceled because the computer can't make Toast quit because a dialog box is opened after a DVD has successfully been burned.
Tonight is a prime example. I'm ready to go to bed but I'm only 79% finished encoding a DVD and it will probably take another 45 minutes or so to complete.

Just a suggestion...
