Microsoft Net.Framework

Can anyone tell me if I need Microsoft Net.Framework to run EMC9? And If I need it installed at all? I have three versions in my add remove programs 1.1, ver 2.0 and 3.0. Do I need all three or just the latest. I have video wave hanging and freezing my computer at 97% complete no matter what I do and thought maybe the net framework might be a problem.

I'm not positive but I think 1.1 is installed with EMC. I wouldn't go removing the others not needed by EMC as they may be needed by other programs.

I show 1.1 installed on my system plus a hotfix by MS for 1.1. You might check to see if that got installed with a MS update.

What made you think it was Net. Framework causing the problem? Does this happen with other files as well?

Please post your system specs also.

Thanks for your quick reply! All of the net.framwork programs were updates through windows update. The reason I think it was net.framework, because I just flat ran out of ideas and trial and error techniques. I have posted a couple of post to this subject and can not get this issue fixed. I don't know if an EMC9 update is coming soon, but I think I will just have to unistall for about the 4th time and go with Nero 7 for the $29 sale price right now. You can see previous post pertaining to "VideoWave freezing at 97%."
