4Dada
What are you trying to burn and with which program in the suite? Trying to burn audio CD using Sonic DigitalMedia LE v7. I don't understand why it recognises the DVD and burns it ok, but it spits out the CDR. I have tried several CDs and they all can't be drink coasters. CD RW worked ok. Larry
Have you checked for firmware updates for your burner? What is the make/model of your burner? Has this ever worked? Are you able to burn CD's using any other software, like XP's built in burning capability or WMP? Have you installed anything recently like IE 7? If you have IE 7 installed, try uninstalling it and rolling back to IE 6. IE 7 breaks a lot of software.

Installed IE7 a few weeks ago I'll try the IE7 rollback first, because I noticed a couple of other problems.
