Hangs during rendering (Dell Latitude D620 & Roxio 9)

Deryk

Question

I have a Dell Latitude D620 (XP Pro SP2) with NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110M with driver version 8.4.6.9 and date of 5/1/06. This is the latest driver from the Dell website. I went to nvidia website and the driver posted there seems to be older, but how could I tell because the version numbers are completely different format. Everytime I try to encode/render video the window stays black and it never goes off 0%. I know I'm not the only one who has had this problem, and I know I've heard a thousand times, make sure your video driver is up-to-date. I think it is. I wondered if anyone else ran into this problem with the Latitude D620, and if they ever got it resolved.

Thanks in advance.

I couldn't find that video card, anywhere. Is it in a laptop? If so, it may be a video chip and not work with the software.

FYI. If anyone else suffers this same problem, I was able to resolve it by going to Microsoft and downloading the latest version of DirectX (or updates to my version). I'm not sure what it did, but the update process was automated. It all works now! I was staring to get a little mad. :angry2: But its all :) now
