calvcav
I think you guys may have a winner here without even realizing it. I have used large file folders for several years; I made some hour-long DVDs a few years ago transferring Windows Movie Maker 1 edits, which were quite good until MS "fixed" it, making long files nearly impossible to work with, to MPEG to DVD-it, which I found much easier to work with than the Adobe Premier 6.5 program, which was packed with too many features and not very user-friendly. The thing about Media Ticker is that it's so easy; I was able to add a 1700 count picture folder (one of my smaller folders) to the program with a couple of clicks; and it loaded and started right up, very crisp and clear (considering I am using a higher resolution with magnification for my screen display); without having to first transfer everything to video files with all the frame and compression complications. Any chance you could include this in Buzz; or more simply, just expand the options (small, medium, large) to full-screen? I bought a used laptop which already had Creator 6 installed, but PhotoSuite wasn't loaded properly, and I don't have the disk to reload; I did see that there was an option to change the speed of the slideshow, which is what I was looking for- but the scrolling screen is even better! PhototSuite 8 is not an option for me, as it limits capacity to 999 photos, and I need a larger minimum for what I am presently doing, which is transferring the monitor image directly to a projector. I have some other ideas you might be interested in (as a streaming algorithm), as you (Sonic) have been at the vanguard of innovative video solutions for some time; by the way, I have found Roxio audio as good as Nero for burning CDs, even though it doesn't look as "official" and doesn't have quite as many options; the Drag-to-Disk makes everything simple for basic copying- and I have gone through the legal free use copyright laws several times, asking advice from professionals in music publishing, as to what is and is not permissible- which is much broader than what the Music Industry (the places you send money to for fees) would have you believe. Please let me know as soon as you make full-screen scrolling available; it could be a simple tweak. Thanks, Ron M. (Christian minister)
frinkenstein
Hi Ron Thanks for the great feedback. We've had a full-screen option on our radar for a little while now - it's something that the folks in the "lab" really want to see also. We don't have a firm commitment for the next version yet, but we're working on what features that might include at the moment. Buzz includes a way to very quickly make a slideshow (just drag images to Buzz and you're done), but yes: we've certainly talked about making MediaTicker and Buzz much more connected than they are today. You may see that in a future version, though we've no firm plans as of today. Thanks again for the positive feedback and great suggestions... We'll be sure to let you know when full-screen mode gets added. -james. I think you guys may have a winner here without even realizing it.
