Import Project Data to Label Creator

OPunWide

Question

I can't get Label Creator to auto fill any fields. It only has a button to read from the disc. I didn't put CD-text on the disc.

I have a music project open in Music Disc Creator, but the two applications don't seem to want to talk to each other.

The help info says that this should work:

Label Creator can automatically fill in Smart Objects. It does this in one of three ways:

  • by reading information from your CD or DVD and looking online for the information.
  • by using information you’ve added to a project in another Roxio component. This happens when you ask another Roxio component to make a label for your current project. Label Creator picks up the information you have in that project and fills in your Smart Objects for you.
  • by using information you have manually entered into the Smart Object.

Any idea how to get label creator to read the project information?

Yes, that was the first thing I tried. Then I tried launching the Label app separately.

This doesn't seem to be much of an integrated package "Suite", it acts more like a bunch of separate pieces with similiar user interfaces. Even for doing wave editing on some functions you have to launch a separate app, save the files and reimport.

Are you launching label creator from the project you want it to pick up the info from? That's the way I'm reading that it should work.
