CinePlayer DVD Decoder (plugin) Not working

GEVan

Question

I bought the CinePlayer DVD Decoder Pack plugin and installed it. However, I cannot detect its presence anywhere. NONE of my DVD playing softwares recognize it.

In short, 'it no work.'

What am I doing wrong? Specifically, I'd like to get the CinePlayer plugin to work with WMP or WinDVD.

PS

I also have Roxio Easy Creator Suite 9, which includes the full CinePlayer. Before you tell me to just use CinePlayer, please don't go there. I just want to know how to get the plugin to work with other players.

Thanx!

I have a similar situation here.

I run MS Windows XP Video Decoder Checkup Utility. It returns that there are no MPEG-2 decoder installed on this computer.

I have uninstalled DVD pack, installed the latest DirectX, reinstalled DVD pack. The same result.

Program->Sonic->CinePlayer folder contains:

LeaderReg

UNICOWS.DLL

Please help me as to how to install the decoder / codec that is missing now.

Thank you!

Cineplayer came bundled on my new dell dimension c521/never did load properly or otherwise/logo flashes momentarily-then nothing ;) now media player won't play dvd's and a can't find rsl.dll file error mesg. appears from a dmx.exe file. Can someone kindly instruct. Doesn't roxio supply a fix? Microsoft seems limited! Dell-useless with their support approach; I mean this soft. came on their computer. Hellllllllllllllp!

If you have Windows Media Player 10. Download the utility from the link below and run and set the Sonic CinemasterVideo DS Video Decoder as the Preffered. Don't worry about the Sync warning about being not compatible, " This decoder is not compatible with the synchronization feature of Windows Media Player 10. We recommend against setting this decoder as the preferred decoder."

The Cineplayer decoder pack is recommended by Microsoft on their website. It is fully functional. Sonic is currently working with Microsoft to have the decoder pack be recognized as a Certified Application.
