Copying DVD

Is there any way to copy a DVD (that I own) without having Toast compress the DVD info. I am a new Toast 8 user, but I remember in Toast 6 that you could make an exact duplicate of a CD and I wanted to do this with a DVD, but I am not sure if it can do it.

If this is a non-encrypted DVD you can duplicate it by using the Toast Copy window. If you wanted to extract video from the DVD for Toast to author to a new video DVD then you use the Toast Media Browser to copy the titles from the DVD to the Toast Video window.

 

If this is a DVD that you've ripped to your hard drive, then drag the VIDEO_TS folder that's on the hard drive to the Video window with DVD video from VIDEO_TS selected as the format -- or place the VIDEO_TS on the desktop and use the DVD setting in the Media Browser to extract titles from the VIDEO_TS.
