It all depends on what you mean. Are you wanting to delete certain scenes from the video? In VideoWave, click on View, then click on Media Selector. I dock Media Selector, but you don't have to.

Now, in the Media Selector Window, browse to your video file, right click on it, and then click on Scene Detection. It may not detect the scenes the way you want it though.

Click on the scenes that you don't want, and delete them. Once you are done, click Ok. Then drag the file into the Production Editor.

from grandpa doc on same subject.

I cant get videwave to respond to the directions you just listed. It did once then hung partly thru the video & Ive never been able to gey it back> I decided to reply instd of new topic, is that OK? I juststarted using EMC 9 also, after yrs of pestering you about 6 & 7.5!

I just got done shooting a wedding and I have just started using EC 9 suite. What is the easiest way to seperate scenes after capturing the video. It seems there has to be an easier way instead of cutting pieces out of the whole video.

Nevermind got it figured out!!!

No problem at all, responding to this thread. I don't know what would cause it to quit working. Try getting rid of any spyware/malware you have on your computer, using free versions of Ad-Aware and Spybot. Then defrag your hard drive

If that doesn't work, you can try a repair through Add/Remove Programs.

Also, make sure your video drivers are up to date. I haven't read through your other posts to see what your system specs are.
