Toast 8 Compatibility with Mac the Ripper

Bigworm

Question

I'm new to the game. I've been trying to beat the CSS encryption with Mac the ripper, but can't seem to get it to work with Toast 8. I've seen it advertised with Popcorn, but I'd hate to have to purchase that program too.

It seems compatible, but I've been getting a prompt in Toast stating that I "don't have enough disk space to compress the selected files". Don't quite know what that means. Any ideas?

Without discussing violating copyright, the error message suggests that you do not have enough free space on your hard drive. The usual rule of thumb would be that you should have about 3X the size of the video_ts folder you are working from. If your video_ts folder is 7GB, then you should have at least 21GB free on your hard drive. The operating system generally needs free space of its own. Probably 25GB would be safe if your computer were doing no other operations during the compression.

It means you don't have enough hard drive space. You need to either clean up your hard drive or get an external hard drive.

Since you have Toast 8, you don't need Popcorn 2.

I can't talk about ripping here but I can tell you to go to RipDifferent Forums.
