Installation advise

Question

I just had to do a clean installation of Windows XP and want to install Creator 8. I have installed all updates including Explorer 7 and Media player 11. I have read on here that Creator 8 does not play well with Explorer 7 Or Media Player 11. Have these problems been addressed or should I purchase Creator 9? Thank you!

Not unless MS has put out updates (which I haven't seen anything noted yet) for their two apps that cause so many other programs not to work correctly (including EMC 8, and some even have reported problems between them and EMC 9). As far as we know, Roxio/Sonic has no plans to issue updates to make EMC 8 (or any of their earlier versions) work with those apps.

You could either uninstall those, or get v 9 if that's what you want to do.

SOME people have been able to get V8 Deluxe, IE 7 and WMP 11 to play nicely together (like on my old laptop) but it is hit or miss. Before you reinstall V8, you might want to try downloading the free trial of V9 to see if that is OK for you. If so, then you have a choice to make. Don't install V8 and V9 at the same time, sometimes they interfere with each other Uninstall one before installing the other.
