Can't uninstall Sonic DLA after fixing DLA compatibility popups

I had the widespread DLA driver compatibility problem after upgrading my Dell to Vista Ultimate. I followed the instructions on the Roxio support site to run the Drag-to-Disk patch, and the compatibility problems appear to be solved (i.e. no more popups). Great, but I want to uninstall DLA completely. When I attempt to do this through Control Panel, the uninstall dies after the confirm dialog. I was able to uninstall the other Roxio preloaded software, but not DLA. Any suggestions appreciated.

Did you get your EMC lite disks from Dell?, try a full uninstall and then reboot and then try a custom install and see if you can un-select it or after the install try to remove again.? see if this helps?
