Still can't find the DVR - HELP!

I have tried all of the troubleshooting stuff on here. Yesterday, I couldn't even get TiVo Transfer to launch...so after uninstalling everything, reinstalling everything including the updates, I finally have TiVo transfer up, but it still can't find my DVR. I've cycled everything, done the firewall thing, and restarted my TiVo....tell me I didn't waste $100!

This is simply buggy software, its not really ready for release, it should be recalled. I do on occasion get a successful transfer. After stalled transfers, reboots and prayerful meditation. Have you successfully networked your Tivo before with Tivo Desktop? It may be the usb adapter? I tried several models before I was successful with simply networking my Tivo. I purchased my adapter before Tivo branded model was available. Good Luck.

 

My tivo desktop works just fine, so it can't be my usb adapter, tivo connects to the network perfectly.

it has to be a software bug. they won't admit it.
