Question

Gents,

an easy one for those who know...

i have a Camcorder that does DVD. I'm trying to copy and edit the film on my computer.

question1: when using MyDVD9 to make a dvd, i can import a .vob (i can preview) but it fail to burn on DVD.

question2: so i decided to convert the format from vob to mpeg2 - the only problem is that my dvd was shot in 16:9 to when i convert to mpeg2 it shrink it to 4:3....

Copy that mini DVD to your hard drive. Open VideoWave, and click on File/New Production/Widescreen. Click on Add photo/Video, browse to the VOBs, select them, click Open, and they should come in. The 16:9 should stay 16:9.

I have the same issue; I followed above step but did not work for me.

Is there any resolution for this issue?

Use VideoWave to make your production. MyDVD has no problems with 16:9 VOBs, though. What steps are you taking in MyDVD, and what do you mean by "it fails to burn on a DVD"?

i go to "add photo/video", chose the .vob files in the Video_ts folder of the mini-DVD (recorded in 16:9). add a slide show, edit my menu and click on burn. when burn the movie (vob) it stops with an error. I tried to do the slideshow by itself it burns. the only way to burn the .vob is by converting to mpeg2 but the format is shrink from 16:9 to 4:3.

thanks
