Sound Issues when capturing video and sound

BigRon

Question

Hi,

When I use EMC 9 to capture video game scenes, I seem to get the sound 2 times just slightly apart. I have a hauppage pci capture card and an Audigy 2 sound card. I updated the drivers on both. I found that if I muted the wave/mp3 the sound is normal, but no output on the finished capture. And needless to say, if I mute the line in there is no sound whatso ever. I can't seem to find a setting that gives me only 1 source, if this is even the problem. I tried changing the options to what you hear and the other settings with no luck so far. The PS2 video is plugged into the video in on the capture card and the sound is plugged into the line in on the sound card. Any ideas? :(

Thanks ahead of time!

Hi Larry,

Sorry I gave some bad info, the PS2 sound is going through the capture card and not the sound card. The capture card is connected to the line in of the sound card. I tried plugging the PS2 into the line in of the sound card, the sound was perfect but it would not capture that way. We also ttried the settings in the Control panel that is mentioned in some of the other posts I read through. This did improve the sound of the captures from the satellite but not the PS2. Any other ideas? I am kinda at a loss as to where to go from here. :(

Thanks ahead of time. :D

Try running the audio thru the capture card also.
