Toast 8 cannot be launched -1712

I get a "Toast 8 cannot be launched -1712" error, consistently, if I attempt to launch Toast after waking my G4 MDD from deep sleep. The other symptom is that the CD burner (built in) also will not open, and iTunes also hangs and cannot be force quit. Even after the "cannot be launched" message, Toast still appears in the dock and cannot be force quit. It's as if something is trying to access the (inaccessible) CD drive and then hanging up.

I recently am experiencing the same problem, I can't force quit, the program won't open. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I am waiting to hear back from Roxio for a solution. Please let me know if you find a work around. I thought it might be because I recently updated my Power Mac G5 to 10.4.9.
