KateSorensen
It seems that something is preventing the file being read beyond that point. Possibly something is corrupted in the file. Try choosing Save as Disc Image instead of clicking the burn button. If that is completed, use the Image File setting in the Toast copy window to burn the DVD. I'm having the same buffer underrun as first poster in thread. Have made many coaster failed attempts to burn a 59 minute tv program. Used different make DVDs. Exported from EyeTV as an .mpg. It appears to record and play back up to about 4 minutes and then it will not play anymore. I have successfully made the Disc Imge and burned using Toast a DVD for mac/pc. But of course it will not play in the DVR player at the TV. I have a iMac Power PC, 1.8 GHz G5, 2 GB RAM and Toast 8.0.1. I've read http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25750, searched buffer underrun in this forum and videohelp.com forums. I have used EyeTV and Toast for years and this is the first time I've ever had problems. I'm really down in the dumps over this!

I have used EyeTV and Toast for years and this is the first time I've ever had problems. I'm really down in the dumps over this! After you create a disc image from the Video window you need to burn it using the Image File setting in the Toast Copy window. That way it will play in the DVD player. I recently had a problem trying to get Toast to finish making a DVD from an EyeTV recording. It also went very slowly before it just didn't go any farther. I've done some testing and found a workaround. Select the video in EyeTV and choose to have it exported as either an MPEG Program Stream or MPEG Elementary Stream. When that is done, drag the exported video file to the Toast Video window (with DVD video selected as the format). Now it should author and burn your video DVD without any problem. I don't know why the problem happened with this particular EyeTV recording (from an EyeTV 250) but my workaround was successful.
