No Drive Detected

Question

Ok, long story short, this is what happened : I got this new HP laptop with Vista preloaded. I tried to install my iTunes, (before new iTunes update). When I installed iTunes, my drive went away all together!!! After researching the internet I found a solution that worked for me, I deleted the High and Low pass filters, so now, my drive is detected by windows, I can burn CDs with iTunes, but not with any other kind of software, and not with EMC9 either, what should I do???

iTunes has been known to conflict with many programs. A few things to try is to do a repair install of EMC. But first, try the pxengine update. If that doesn't work, remove the drive in device properties and reboot.
