Question

SO I'm on-line with Roxio support now and we still can't figure out my issue! PLEASE HELP!!

I'm trying to capture VHS tapes using emc9.

When I do so....the automatic tracking clicks on but I still have wavy lines that occassionally run through my capture screen....also a large wavy black line with pink tones on the left of the capture screen. I've also tried manual tracking....does nothing.....

I am hooked up to my tower through a 4 prong S-video/RCA cable. and then the cables are into my VCR (yellow/white/red).

I have tried other cables.

I have tried a brand new VCR.

Updated my video card (am running a dual processor....windows XP media center ...intel video card)

Tried going through a receiver.

My samsung firewire connection capturing works great! Also....my old sharp camcorder with hi-8 tapes and hook up with RCA cables works great.

When I watch these home movies on a tv there is no distortion and it is very clear.

I've contacted support about 10 times now....and I was just wondering if anyone else could help! They have a few suggestions that I've tried but nothing works.

Has anyone captured through a TV? (I just need a TV with an "out" connection) OR how about the Dazzle does that help?

THANKS SO MUCH! Any help is appreciated!! :)

Lots of questions. First, try capturing using the software that came with your capture card. You can also try the Dazzle.

Let us know how it goes.
