Error 2753 After XP Restore

darelldd

Question

I have a slight twist on this same thing.

Running Win XP and had to perform a complete system restore. All programs needed to be resinstalled, including Roxio. But during the Roxio 8 installation (from original CD) I get "internal ERror 2753" and there is even something in the database about that here: http://www.roxio.com/enu/search/default.ht...kb&filter=0

But when I follow the link on that page, I only get "page cannot be displayed"

I've run the MS registry cleaner (found one ref to Sonic) and CCleaner. Nothing has changed.

Anybody know what the knowedge database article says, or how else I can read it?

A slight twist should merit a new thread.:glare:

Yeah, yeah. On some forums I'm clobbered for starting a new thread on a *similar* subject, on this one I'm clobbered because I don't start a new thread. Some mornings I feel like I should stay under my rock.

Yeh, but here's the good news - renaming the sonic/roxio folders did the trick for me too! So I'm still happy even after my spanking. ;) Thanks sknis.

No spanking; just a gentle redirect. :) Glad it worked for you. Enjoy and come back to help others.
