Vista Ultimate problem with formatting DVD-RW's

scran53

Question

I just installed EMC9 in Vista Ultimate and now I can't format DVD-RW's using the Drag-toDisc icon. It keeps telling me "Format operation on F:\ failed: Unspecified error occurred. The Drag-to-Disc icon shows [F:] Unmounted.

I used these same drives and discs on EMC7 so what's the deal. I bought this software because it said it was Vista compatible.

Drag to Disc in Vista isn't working for most. Have you gotten a 'DLA' error?

I suggest using Creator Classic to save data as packet writing is not at all safe.

Paul is right. There is a problem with Vista and D2D, but it is probably a blessing. Use Creator Classic. It is more stable, and you won't lose important backup data like you will eventually lose, using packet writing software.
