After 1 Month - My Tivo Disappeared

pat1018

Question

I was finally successful in transferring the programs I wanted to my computer with no problem. Now it just doesn't show up. I have reset Tivo. Under system information it says that "Remote Address: Not Set (0). Does anyone know if this is why - and how I SET it?

Also - I think I've read about this before - the VCM Connection. Says that it last tried to connect at 3:44 p.m. and it's next attempt will be at 3:49 p.m. without success. Last successful attempt is listed as December 31 at 4:00 p.m.. I've only had the Tivo since February.

HELP PLEASE!

Thanks guys!~ Pat

0 is the default remote address. This is how all tivos ship-- if you only have one tivo in that room, and the remote works, then that is fine.

Do you have "transfer" enabled on your tivo? It should say something on the system information screen. If not, log on to TiVo.com to enable it on your DVR, and force a couple of 'connect to tivo now'. If the connect to tivo doesn't work, select the 'restart tivo' option in the menus.
