Runtime Errors

Eugenee4789r

Question

I loaded Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 on my Windows XP Home with service pack 1 and 2.

When I go to use it, I get these error messages, and it shuts down my computer.

What can I do?

MICROSOFT VISUAL C++ RUNTIME LIBRARY

Application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusal way.

Program...commonfiles\Roxioshared\9.0\Sharedcom\RoxWatchTray9.exe

On second try I got this message before it shut everything down.

RUNTIME ERROR

R6025

-pure virtual function call.

What in heavens name does all of this mean and does anyone have any idea what I should do except send the disk back to Roxio?

If you have a solution, please be specific as to what I should do, not a genius, but this technical language might as well be in Latin.

Thanks and grateful.

If that doesn't work try this.Go to Control Panel,Administrative Tools,Services.Look down the list for RoxMediaDB9.See if it's set to manual or automatic. If it's on manual switch it to automatic and see if the error goes away.

Quick and simple solution (media watch is a resource hog anyway)

go to start, run

type in msconfig

go to startup tab

Uncheck the box at 'RoxWatchTray9

close and reboot

At the nag screen tell doze that you know you disabled a stratup item and go away and stop bugging :D
