Software that interferes with Roxio

I'm probably the last person on the continent that has dial up service but I'm finally upgrading to hi speed internet. As part of the package the following are included: PC Anti-Virus, Firewall Software, Anti-Spyware/Adware. If I load these 3 items on my hard drive will they place nice with Roxio?

My suggestion is that if you already have Roxio's EMC installed and it's working O.K. then those utilities should not bother your Roxio program. Usually when you download any of Roxio's programs or download any of their updates, then you should disable the virus and firewall programs etc. as they might interfere with the download.

Thanks for the heads up re disabling these programs when I download from Roxio. I did not know that.

 

I have the latest updated version of EMC 7.5 and you may have seen my other posts lately that I am actually having several problems with EMC. Since I am already experiencing problems with Roxio would adding these utilities be adding fuel to the fire? Should I wait unitil I get 7.5 repaired to add these utiilities?
