LP & Tape Assistant - Application Error

I keep getting the following application error when trying to launch LP and Tape Assistant. It was working fine and then all of a sudden this.

 

The instruction at "0x0138bb85" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".

 

The numbers will change each time. Anybody help me with this?

Try doing a Windows Add or Remove Programs Repair.

 

What happens if you open Easy Audio Capture or Media Import? Those are alternates and full versions. Some people have trouble with the Assistants. Also try opening that program from the Windows Start Programs path. Sometimes the Home menu links are not what they are supposed to be.

 

Have you added any new programs, updated programs including your anti virus since this worked last? Have you checked for malware? Try defragging your hard drive. When I was working and had a problem that I had to call computer support, they would not talk to me unless I rebooted by computer while they waited. Have you booted up recently?

 

If this just started happening, try restoring your computer a few days back when it was working. You can then add updates or programs back in to see what caused the problem.
