I recently purchased MC9 and made a slideshow of pictures using videowave9 with music and transitions. When I play back the video it is really jumpy between pictures. The transitions are not smooth. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

That's typically all video adapter related. Your sig suggests you have an onboard video chip, which may not work well with the software. Things you can try:

Make sure directx9 is up to date.

Update the drivers for your video adapter

Allocate more memeory to the video (that's if your 6mb listing is accurate).

Change your rendering settings to Software.

I'm sort of having the same problem. This is my first video with EMC9. I made a video with several diffrent video clips, when I used the transitions (potluck) I notice the clip gets a little bit darker (faded) and choppy a couple seconds before the transition (begining). If the clip is long enough you can see it get brighter and the choppiness is gone a couple seconds after the transition. I don't have this problem on my slide show presentation. Any ideas, I want to keep them in, its a sports video and the transitions add to it.

Actually, it is a know bug in the software and has been reported to Roxio. If you use the dissolves transition theme, it won't happen. It does happen with most other transitions.

Hopefully, it will be fixed in the upcoming patch, which no one knows when will be released.

Can you tell me how to allot more memory to the video? thanks.

Sometimes you can do this in the BIOS. Sometimes it is automatic when you change your resolution. You should be using 1024 X 768 X 32bit color as minimum.

Right click on the desktop

Choose PROPERTIES

Click on the settings TAB

Check how your computer is set:

Screen Resolution and Color Quality
