BethCo
I tried to download an updated version of DirectCD that would work with Windows XP and now I get a Windows Installer window popping up every time I restart my computer and a message saying that DirectCD is not compatible with my versions of windows and makes it unstable. What should I do? This is very upsetting as I think it may have interfered with my internet router so that I can't maintain an internet connection consistently! I NEED to fix this!! lynn98109
DirectCD is an excellant way to permantly LOSE your data. Check the following posts, pinned to the top of the ECDC 4/5 Forum: http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=805 http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=125 http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=122 Lynn
gi7omy
The fact that the OP is getting a 'not compatable' message sounds to me like it may be ECD 4 rather than 5 However, ECD 5 is NOT supported under XP SP2 (some people have managed to get it working, but the majority haven't)
