Trouble Burning Data

Dear Friends

 

I hope somebady can help my.

I have problem when i tried burn some data on dvd r.

I Have Sony dvdrw dru-800a and i was update driver to Koy6.But stil are same problem.Error mesage like try new media etc..

I tried deepBurner with same project.Eror message: power calibration area error.

I had 3 diferent kind of dvd,diferent manufakturer but still is i can't solve the problem.Sorry i'm not well in English if you see grammar mistakes

Update the firmware for your burner.

The 2 most common causes of this problem are media and firmware.Since you've updated the firmware try a different brand of media.

Another cause could be a dirty laser or possibly a failing one.You might try a lens cleaner disc.Be aware though that sometimes they cause problems (not often in my experience).

As a last thought it could be your drive is going out.If none of these things work you may consider getting a new drive.A different laser is used to burn DVD's than Cd's.It could be the laser for burning DVD's is going out.Take a look at this:

"The CD laser and the DVD laser are different. The light

from a DVD laser has a wavelength of 640 nanometers where the light from a

CD laser is 780 nanometers. The smaller DVD laser wavelength allows it to

focus on the smaller pits in the DVD disk. Thus, accounting for the

increase in storage capacity."
