The data I am trying to copy and/or edit is from Sony DVDirect Recorder VDR-MC3. I purchased this to use as a stand alone burner to archive over 100 old analog camcorder and VHS tapes. This works great however when resulting DVD shows up on the desktop the files are invisible. It will play fine using the Apple DVD Player application. AND I can make a playable copy using the regular Toast "Copy" tab.
The files DO show up in Toast 6 when I try to copy using the Video tab and the advanced setting (add data content) as suggested elsewhere on this board. However they only show up as a 09:43:07 minute VTS_01_01 VOB file, even though the source is 1 hour.
Will upgrading to Toast 8 help me to see ALL the files or enable me to convert/burn them to be edited later in iMovie?
