VIDEO CAPTURE

Hi there, i am trying to capture video from my camcorder, i have a camcorder which take 9mm tapes, what would i need to do or get to put this on my computer? I have RADEON grahic card 256mb with a video out, it that is any help? Many thanks in advance.

Is it analog or digital? If it is an older analog camcorder, you will need an analog video capture device. These come in many forms. There are PCI cards, USB 2 and a few firewire versions.

 

If the camcorder is digital, you probably just need a good firewire cable and firewire port on the computer.
