Keith NY
Hi, I bought "creator 9" because I was told it would support .VOB files, but I get the following error when I try to add a video. "One or more files you are trying to add cannot be edited, and have not been added." The procedure I use is as follows: Click on "Edit Using VideoWave 9" Click on "Add Photo/Video" Navigate to my directory where I see a bunch of files like this VIDEO_TS.IFO VIDEO_TS.VOB VTS_01_0.IFO VTS_01_1.VOB VTS_01_2.VOB I selected on the VIDEO_TS.VOB file and then the "Import Movies from VOB" screen came up. I selected Movie 1 (the only option) and hit OK. That is when I got the error mentioned above. I tried the same thing with the other files and it gives the same error message. Any suggestion, ideas? By the way, the original source of this files came from PANASONIC DVD VIDEO RECORDER DMR – T3040. I use it to record live lectures. Thanks, Keith
kkraft0149
Thanks. It loaded but it only shows the first 13 seconds and stops. There should be at least an hour of video, the size is 1 Gb. I believe finalizing is automatic on the dvd-r. But I'll double check. Thanks. Also, the dvd plays automatically if I pop it in to a dvd drive. Any updates on this? I have the same problem. Roxio EMC 9 doesn't recognize my dvd-r (home video), and renaming to mpg only plays the first 13 seconds. Though, my computer plays the movies fine when I first insert the disc, even with Roxio Media Experience software. I've had a webticket open with Roxio. They're first suggestion to disable all the startup items in msconfig, then enable each one at a time to see which one causes the dvd-r to not be recognized. When I disabled all, it still had problems. They're next suggestion was to rename the vob to mpg. But, I got this 13 second problem now. Any help would be greatly appreciated (for I'm beginning to think buying Roxio was a waste of money and so far has proven to be useless to me). james_hardin
The source disc will probably need to be Finalized.
Keith NY
Many have had luck by renaming the .vob files to .mpg. Give that a try and see if it work for you. Thanks. Question
Keith NY
Hi,
I bought "creator 9" because I was told it would support .VOB files, but I get the following error when I try to add a video.
"One or more files you are trying to add cannot be edited, and have not been added."
The procedure I use is as follows:
Click on "Edit Using VideoWave 9"
Click on "Add Photo/Video"
Navigate to my directory where I see a bunch of files like this
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VIDEO_TS.VOB
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
I selected on the VIDEO_TS.VOB file and then the "Import Movies from VOB" screen came up.
Thanks,
Keith
