Hello,

I am producing a slideshow in videowave (EMC7.5) with slides I scanned. How can I get rid of the black border around some of my pictures?

Thank you

Irmi

You can insert a color panel in the storyline then switch to timeline, double click on the color panel and it will take you to the internal tracks, add you photo to the overlay track. Right click on the picture and choose edit overlay, in this window you can adjust overall size until the black is covered, if your wanting to account for tv overscan then adjust it to about 85% that way you will see the complete picture when it is shown on tv.

Hi Patty,

Thanks for your solution, it works, but is very time intensiv. Since I have lots of photos I want to create slideshows from (watchable on TV) is there any software out there I can use to get rid of the black frames? I thought I read something like that a while ago in the old user forum?

Here is a link to a free program I and others use frequently:

Although I normally do one picture at a time, I believe it has the ability to crop and place a colored border around pictures in batch (multiple pictures at the same time). Using this utility, you can add a color border and then import that picture into Videowave and eliminate the black border.
