Guru25
I have EMC 9 installed and it was working just fine until.....I installed Copy and Convert. Now niether program will open. Does anyone know why this happened? How do I fix this? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both programs. They both work fine when only one program is installed by itself. When both are installed and I reboot more than 2 times, EMC 9 and Copy and Convert sease to function.

I don't know why it would conflict, but why would you need Copy and Convert, when you can do it all in EMC 9?

The problem I think is being caused because Copy/Convert is the same as the Disc Copier app that is already part of EMC 9. If you install EMC 9 you already have all that functionality. So then when you try installing that part a second time it probably causes the 2 to get messed up. Just install and use EMC 9.
Guru25
I don't know why it would conflict, but why would you need Copy and Convert, when you can do it all in EMC 9? EMC 9 CAN NOT do it all. There are some functions on Copy And Convert like recovering songs from an iPod, and converting audio and video files like TIVO video files to any other file type. EMC 9 can not do these on it's own. This is why ROXIO put out another product. If they would have incorporated EVERYTHING into EMC 9, then I wouldn't need Copy and Convert. Thank you anyway. It's true that there are alot of redundant features between EMC 9 and Copy and Convert. They both worked fine after the first reboot after installation. After I shut down and booted up again all hell broke loose. This is what has me puzzled. Why would it work fine for 1 minute and not work at all the next? By the way, I did not install any redundant features only those unique to copy and convert. During installation of Copy and Convert, if there was any part already installed by EMC 9 it would alert me of such and allow me to skip duplicate installation and only install what is not already on my system.
