My DVD and Canon

When I use the supplied software to try and transfer a recording, made on an unfinalized -RW Disc from my Canon DC10 to my computer for editing I get the following message "Sonic MyDVD has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." This is after following the appropriate instructions in the supplied manuals. Everything is OK till I click on the "Open Disc" button. The Progress bar appears and fills up about a 1/4, the system then hangs for a while and then the above message then appears. After I choose not to send the information tp Microsoft MyDVD closes down. :angry2:

Any else had problems transfering from Canon DVD cameras, any help appriciated, Thanks.
